Crimping Pliers Instructions / Finishing Satin Cord Necklaces
How to attach cord ends to satin cord, silk cord, ribbon or leather cord
The following instructions show how to use the crimping pliers with our fold-over crimp style cord ends to finish satin cord or leather necklaces. The pliers make the crimps into nice rounded tubes instead of the flattened look that you get with regular pliers. Click the pictures to see enlarged detail. |

| 1. Place the cord into the cord end. It helps hold it in place if you moisten it slightly. When doing large volumes, we use a moist sponge. | ||
2. For these cord ends, we only use the back part of the pliers. Hold the cord end by the clasp- or tab-end. It helps to also hold on to the end of the cord. Position the cord end into the back hole in the pliers, at an angle facing the front of the pliers. |
